چکیده
Preface On its way to its current form this report has received significant input from a considerable number of experts. The " First Interim Report " which basically dealt with emission estimates and projections has been significantly amended to also cover abatement options and associated costs. Comments on the " First Interim Report " were given by representatives of the European Commission at a presentation in Brussels on May 20, 1999. With approval of DG Environment the " Second Interim Report " has been distributed for comments to about 35 technical experts in late September 1999. It has also been circulated among the lead authors of Chapter 3 of Working Group 3 of the Third Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. A " Third Interim Report " was discussed by a panel of experts in Brussels on November 22, 1999. Specific and more general comments and suggestions were received from a large number of experts from industry, academia, government agencies and environmental non-governmental organisations. The authors would like to thank all of these experts for their valuable inputs into this study (please refer to chapter 10 for a list of people). For this " Final Report " it was attempted to consider their suggestions wherever possible. In several cases unresolved issues were flagged in footnotes. This final report reflects the state of knowledge and discussions after a final round of review in late March 2000.

Non-CO2 Greenhouse Gas Emissions in China 2012: Inventory and Supply Chain Analysis
Reliable inventory information is critical in informing emission mitigation efforts. Using the latest officially released emission data, which is production based, we take a consumption perspective to estimate the non-CO2 greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for China in 2012. The non-CO2 GHG emissions, which cover CH4, N2O, HFCs, PFCs, and SF6, amounted to 2003.0 Mt. CO2-eq (including 1871.9 Mt. CO2...

i Preface This report considers options to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transport, and uses a 'bottom up ' approach to assess the cost-effectiveness of options and the reductions it might achieve. In assessing potential reductions, it draws on work on future transport demand completed by the National Technical University of Athens for this project using the PRIMES energy model. The repo...
متن کاملSubmission by Finland on Behalf of the European Community and Its Member States of Information on Available and Potential Ways and Means of Limiting Hfc, Pfc and Sf6 Emissions
Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), perfluorocarbons (PFCs) and sulphur hexafluoride (SF6) are used in a wide variety of applications ranging from aerosol cans to industrial refrigeration and electrical systems which may contain thousands of kilograms of these substances. The paper at hand describes the uses and emission sources of these gases within the European Union, and briefly discusses some of the...
متن کاملEmissions of Substitutes for Ozone-depleting Substances
Hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), Perfluorocarbons (PFCs), and Sulphur hexafluoride (SF6) are emitted from a number of end use sectors in which they substitute for ozone-depleting substances. These include refrigeration, air conditioning, aerosol applications, fire suppression, foam blowing, sterilants, and solvents. Emissions of these gases may occur within a year of sale or gradually over several ye...
متن کاملIII Comparison of uncertainty in different emission trading schemes In : Proceedings of the International Workshop on Uncertainty in Greenhouse Gas Inventories
Emission trading in the EU will begin in 2005, covering the least uncertain emission sources of greenhouse gas emission inventories (CO2 from combustion and from selected industrial processes in large installations). If the Kyoto Protocol enters into force, the emission trading covering all gases (CO2, CH4, N2O, HFCs, PFCs and SF6) and sectors (energy, industry, agriculture, waste, land use, la...
